A Best of Collection would have been better... What were they thinking on this one. They arleady have a greatest hits collection from there early years. Which they should of included songs from that era but instead they go the californication route on this one and have songs from 89 and up. However, I'm not bashing this collection because it is a great disc and serves them justice for there new fans. I was excited to see Soul to Squeeze as it doesn't appear on any chili peppers albums, but I was disappointed that Can't Stop wasn't on here and they could've easily taken off Universally Speaking which is not a favorite of mine, and they could've added a couple of live tunes as well, instead we get 2 decent B-Sides which I do like. Hopefully they will learn from there mistakes and make a "The Very Best of the Red Hot Chili Peppers 1984-2006" or something along those lines and make this and What Hits collection obsolete! O well at least Stadium Arcadium will be coming out in May and I will have forgotton about this disc and be listening to that album non-stop, and from the live songs I've already heard from it, it's going to sound great. Nice Selection I have become pretty much a die hard chili pepper fan over the past several years and this was my first album. It is an excelent selecion for a first time listener.

Here are my views of each song:

Under the bridge- This is one of the greatest melodys of the 90's and shows the potential and how deep this band can go.
10/10
Give it away- This is a pretty good song but it is not one of my favorites.
7/10
Californication- This is the greatest song of the greatest album of the greatest band from the 80's on. It is the greatest sound my ears have ever heard.
10/10
Scar Tissue- cool melody and smart lyrics
8.5/10
Soul to Squeeze- Excelent song, but i would not have put it on the greatest hits.
7.5/10
Otherside- Amazing song. one of the best "rock" songs the chili peppers have come up with. Great solo
10/10
Suck My Kiss- This is an awesome song with great slap bass.
9/10
By the Way- This is probably my favorite song to watch them perform. Not to special though
8/10
Parallel Universe- well written song
8.5/10
Breaking the Girl- The sound of this song compares to under the bridge but the lyrics are not as meaningful
9.5/10
My Fiends- I wanted to die when i heard this. there are so many better songs the chili peppers have come up with than this.
4/10
Higher Ground- Good choice to use one of stevie wonders songs. I like it
8.5/10
Universally Speaking- nice melody
8/10
Road Trippin- i like this song but i would have put i different song in its place
7.5/10
Fortune Faded- i dont no where in hell this came from. but its a pretty cool tune
7.5/10
Save the population- good chorus
8/10

In conclusion, this is a pretty good selection but is missong some of my favorites. I think i migt reccomend to get californication and Blood Sugar sex magik together instead of getting this one.

Journey - Greatest Hits
Journey - Greatest Hits
Journey - Greatest Hits Artist: Journey (Usually ships in 24 hours) Like other successful bands of the 1970s and 1980s, Journey's sound was built on the double threat of singer Steve Perry's upper-register vocals and guitarist Neal Schon's melodic solos. The band also used rich harmonies to embellish their hard edge. Greatest Hits shows that Journey knew how to craft a pop song with memorable tunes like "Anyway You Want It" and "Don't Stop Believin'." "Wheel in the Sky" was one of the band's more arty singles, while "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" relied on a straight four-bar blues pattern, with Perry's vocals at their best. The band's power ballads gave them their biggest success, and are rightfully represented here: "Faithfully," "Open Arms," and "Send Her My Love." Another unlikely aspect further secured the band's success--you could actually dance to some of their stuff, especially "Anyway You Want It." --Steve Gdula Journey's Greatest Here it is, one of the biggest rock bands of the 80s Greatest Hits. Loaded with 15 great tracks (don't look for anything new here like on some greatest hits albums), each one a classic in its own right. With the untimely death of Steve Perry, you will be hard pressed to find a collection of rock this good by one band. While Journey still tours to this day, you will not truly hear them unless you get this album. A must have for any fan of rock or 80s music. Hey Everybody, We're All Gonna Get Laid! "Any way you want it" will always be remembered in Rodney's immortal words from Caddyshack. Rock on. Nothing But The Best! After buying the Greatest Hits compilation around 5 years ago I was very impressed. Every song on this CD is great!! Its so hard to narrow down a particular favorite. With Steve Perry's soulful voice and john cain's extraordinary song writing Journey became one of the most successful bands of all time. No wonder they have received a hollywood star. With nearly 80 million records sold, and now there greatest hits has sold 14 million copies!!! They are simply unstoppable!

Now all we need is the original lineup with Steve Perry and man would the arenas be selling out fast!

Pride Prejudice
Pride Prejudice
Pride Prejudice Artist: Dario Marianelli (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information The year 2005 was big for Italian composer Dario Marianelli. His score for The Brothers Grimm received much applause (probably more than the film itself) and a few months later he came back with another batch of compositions for a period film. This time around, the plaudits are reversed: The film is better than the score. And that's not the only reversal: Since several of his compositions were to be performed by some of the characters on screen, Marianelli wrote parts of the music before the movie was shot, switching the order in which these things are usually done. The onscreen pieces are for solo piano, and Marianelli got a huge leg up by having them played by famed classical performer Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Marianelli was instructed by director Joe Wright to think along the lines of Beethoven (tall order!) but unlike The Brothers Grimm, which cleverly mixed and matched its classical influences, Pride Prejudice fails to acquire a personality of its own. A few tracks, such as "Arrival at Netherfield," even border on George Winston territory. The intervention of the English Chamber Orchestra usually helps, but overall the score's palette sticks too much to a monochromatic beige. --Elisabeth Vincentelli Superb, but where is the rest of it? I have not a single complaint about this soundtrack, save for the fact that much of the festive ball music is missing. Upon much research, I've discovered that many of them were authentic English Country dance tunes that can probably be found online or off another CD. For those interested, here's a listing:

1. Black Bess - Jane and Mr. Bingley's first dance at the Meryton Townhall and when Elizabeth asks Mr. Darcy if he dances ("Not if I can help it")

2. The Young Widow - Major ensemble dance at the Meryton Townhall while Mr. Darcy and Caroline Bingley stood watching. Included is when Charlotte was dancing with Mr. Bingley and when Mr. Darcy watched Elizabeth.

3. Wakefield Hunt - After Elizabeth tells Mr. Darcy that the way to encourage affection is through dancing, and she turns and walks away.

4. Duke of Gloucester's March - The arrival at the Netherfield ball when Elizabeth is walking through the house looking for Mr. Wickham.

5. The Bishop - Elizabeth's dance with Mr. Collins at the Netherfield ball.

Hope this helps anyone interested in the festive numbers, aside from these missing pieces, the score included on this soundtrack could not be any better! Lovely!!!!!! Without repeating everyone else's review, in which I totally have to agree, this soundtrack definitely compliments the movie. My favorite track is "Your Hands Are Cold", this is truly a beautiful piece of music that worked well in the scene with Lizzie and Darcy in the field.. AMAZING!!! Not only does Matthew Macfadyen make me swoon in the film, but the soundtrack recreates the same emotion. Jean-Yves Thibaudet is incredible on the piano. What I am trying to say is this soundtrack is basicly amazing.

The 50 Greatest Love Songs
The 50 Greatest Love Songs
The 50 Greatest Love Songs Artist: Elvis Presley (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information It's a shame that only one side of Elvis' multi-faceted talent is remembered 25 years on from his death but there is so much more to the millennium's greatest performer than garish jump suits and shaky legs. The 50 Greatest Love Songs reminds us what a great singer Presley was; coming from the heart with more feeling and passion than most could ever imagine, all 50 of these songs are classics of the last four decades. The double disc set includes all the up-tempo standards like the incredible "Suspicious Minds", "I just can't help believin'" and "Always On My Mind" plus the Dusty Springfield signature tune "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me". Also included are some of his older works from before and during the cinema years like "Good Luck Charm", "Love Me Tender" and "Old Shep". So no blue shoes, no sequinned jump suits, just the king singing about life, love and heartache. --Georgina Collins EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS THIS STUFF! PEOPLE SAY ELVIS IS THE KING OF ROCK. YEAH RIGHT! HIS BETTER MUSIC ISNT EVEN ROCK! IF YOU WANT ROCK LISTEN TO METALLICA!TRUST ME YOU DONT WANT THIS CD IT IS THE MOST EVIL CD IN THE WORLD!ANYWAY WHAT KING OF ROCK SINGS LOVE SONGS!THIS IS A HEAP OF TRASH! VALENTINE'S DAY BELONGS TO ELVIS FANS This CD is one of the most complete collection of Elvis ballads and loves songs available. While there have been other CDs made of his ballads, these are among his best! I like "A Fool Such As I," "The Wonder of You," and "Pocketful of rainbows." As other reviewers stated, the only out of place track is "Old Shep" (about a boy and his dog) which though very sad, just doesn't belong here. Still, I'd recommend this ballad CD because the collection is so complete. You could amass many other separate CDs and still not have all the great tracks recorded in one place here. It is a double CD - double the songs for the money. This a a perfect CD to give as a gift to that "certain someone" in your life. Enjoy !
I give this 5 stars !

Was this helpful to you? Love Songs By "The King" Elvis Presley is known as "The King" because no one can sing a song like he can. Whether it is an upbeat rock-n-roll song or a smoothe love song. This CD has many love songs we've all heard before, but also quite a few that are not on the CD's that have been released since his death. If you are in a car while listening to this 2 disc set, you'll wish the ride lasts a little longer just to hear all the songs. Two of my favorite's that you don't hear as often as some of the standard Elvis love songs are, "You Don't Know Me" and Let It Be Me". If you are a big Elvis fan or just as casual one, you'll enjoy this 2 disc set.

Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits Artist: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information TRULY A GREAT COMPILATION THIS ALBUM IS OFF THE HOOK!!!! I have to give it up for Bone Thugs and Tomica Wright (who is an executive producer on the album). A lot of people come out with trashy hits album, that are just thrown together for money. I may only be 16, but trust me I know. This is the exact opposite. It has 26 songs, and is a 2-disc. All real hardcore Bone Thugs fans, like me, must have this album. It has "Tha Crossroads", "Look Into My Eyes", "Thug Luv", and every song that has been a major hit for them. No song is missing. Bone Thugs are just so ORGINAL, TALENTED, and everything that rappers should be. It is worth every bit of your 13 or 14 dollars, or however much cds cost at your local music carrier stores. It's Bone Thugs, so you know you can't go wrong. The album's nonchronological sequence highlights the contradictory impulses that made Tupac's music so commanding; the 21 well-loved "hits," some slightly reedited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unheard songs. Of the new material, the raw-sounding "God Bless the Dead" has been the subject of the most speculation, owing to its subject matter: a eulogizing of the late Notorious B.I.G.--a mysterious feat, since Tupac was killed six months before Biggie. And, making its first proper appearance on a Tupac album, the B-side "Hit 'Em Up" stands as the most intense outburst of pure venomous rage ever captured on tape. Whether he's waxing political, philosophical, or just plain paranoid, Tupac's empathetic, charismatic style remains unmatched. --Charley Gothic Best Rapper Ever I dont understand whats happened to rap ever since 2pac and notorious big were murdered its pretty sickening a lot of it is just crap nobody makes songs like brendas got a baby or changes anymore but stupid stuff like i got so much money wheres the feeling to it plus on the actual rapping ability nobody is close to tupac and biggie the only real rap legend still around is nas and although hes still very good hes not as good as he used to be but is still the best lyricist like for instance lil john who the f*** told him he can rap screaming all over a record is not rap its just a headache i know most arent that bad but i just wish theyre were more rappers that were more real with what theyre doing it sort of is annoying cause at school all the white kids are claiming to be big rap fans and all they listen to is crunk not that its bad but nowhere near tupac i bet none of theese kids ever even heard classics like illmatic or ready to die or any of 2pacs legendary albums amd to whoever says 50 cent is better than 2pac i want to know wtf your smoking cause hes not even in the same league and who is he to diss nas let me know what everybody thinks about what im saying in this review also id like to ask what you to in your opinion rank the tupac albums from best to least best thanks Greatest Hits of Tupac Shakur Tupac. A hard to describe person.... lemme try anyways.
He was larger than life, unreal, yet the realest person alive.
He was mysterious and complicated, but so straightforward a person who knew exactly where he stood.
He was shy and sensitive, but at the same time, loud and angry.
He knew exactly what he wanted and he worked towards it in the short time that he was on the planet. This is a testimony to his work, sadly only reflecting the songs that made the most money rather than the songs that truly deserve to be on here. Fortunately, though, most of the songs on here are amazing anyways.

Disc One:
1. Keep Ya Head Up- 10/10: A powerful track that enlightens you and makes you respect women and see them in a new light every time you hear it.
2. 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted- 10/10: With Snoop, one of my favorite rappers back in the day, this makes for a great collaboration.
3. Temptations- 7/10: Never was really a fan of this one.
4. God Bless The Dead- 8/10: Kind of creepy. He's eulogizing Biggie, who died six months after him....
5. Hail Mary- 10/10: This is one of my favorite Pac songs. The emotion on this song is unmatched, as he raps about evil, hatred, and corruption. The beat is pretty creepy.
6. Me Against the World- 10/10: Another one of my favorite Pac songs. Powerful and delivering a great message to stay strong no matter what happens.
7. How Do U Want It- 7/10: Never really was a big fan of this one.
8. So Many Tears- 10/10: Great song.
9. Unconditional Love- 8/10: Didn't really like this one.....
10. Trapped- 8/10: From 2Pacalypse Now, this was Pac's first actual solo
11. Life Goes On- 10/10: Awesome!
12. Hit 'Em Up- 10/10: Before you get all upset that I gave this song a 10, read. Pac had every right to be mad at Biggie, even though I really don't thing Big shot him. Pac thought he did, and if you believe strongly that someone tried to murder you, I think you'd be pretty mad, too. This is one of my favorite diss tracks, but unlike Nas's Ether, it's not lyrically that great. I like it simply for the emotion and charisma Pac shows in the delivery. The outro, though, is uncalled for, and his attack on Mobb Deep for one of their members having Sickle Cell is downright disgusting. I didn't say the man didn't have flaws. The flaws just made him more human, which in turn made him more easy to relate to.
Disc: 2
1. Troublesome 96'- 9/10- Pretty cool.
2. Brenda's Got A Baby- 10/10: My favorite song on 2Pacalypse.
3. I Ain't Mad at Cha - Danny Boy- 10/10: One of my favorite songs on All Eyez, this song really takes a risk with the piano, but it ends up helping the song rather than hurting it.
4. I Get Around- 5/10: Arguably the worst Pac single ever released.
5. Changes- 10/10. Great song!
6. California Love (Original Version)- 10/10. So much better than the remix.
7. Picture Me Rollin'- 8/10. Cool song.
8. How Long Will They Mourn Me?- 10/10: 2 words: Nate Dogg.
9. Toss It Up- 9/10. They only put this on here cuz it disses Dre.
10. Dear Mama- 10/10: I'm a sucker for this one. I feel like hugging my mom every time I hear this song.
11. All About U- 7/10. Just shouldn't be on here. Where's Snoop? Who the f**k is Top Dogg?
12. To Live Die In L.A.- 10/10: Kinda like the sequel to Cali Love.
13. Heartz Of Men- 10/10: Lively, upbeat track.
Pac is arguably the greatest MC of all time, simply for the emotion and charisma he puts in every single song. The new stuff that's coming out is bulls**t. Go buy a copy of this, and keep it with you. This is stuff that years and years later, when you feel down, you listen to Me Against the World and you get back to it. This is stuff that really gives you an insight into the troubled life and times of Tupac Amaru Shakur. This is stuff that you won't forget, no matter what kind of hip-hop fan you are. This is Tupac.
Rest In Peace, 1971-1996. Tupac Amaru Shakur.
Makaveli 4 Life! 2pac is and will always be one of hip hops best rappers in history (except Notorious B.I.G and Mac Dre). 2pac is not fake in any type of way compared to todays hip hop artists. Examples people like Bow Wow and Nelly may get the ladies but they are not fo real rappers, Bow Wow is tryin to act all hard jus cuz he is engaged and he is rich, and Nelly just has a cute lookin face and body but thats bout it. Also rappers like 50 cent who was often resembled to 2pac is also bulls***, 50 got rich and stopped tryin he lossed all of his street credibility and even his old hood don't give him respect. 2pac is a real rapper 4 real, he talks about controversy with politics and family affairs, he appreciates his family, he doesn't turn his back on his neighborhood and his rhyme actually makes sense. And anybody who thinks that 2pac sucks is extremly white and gay, if he were still alive he would put all of the rappers on map.
Top Songs on disc 1
1)Keep Your Head Up-An extremly strong song and should be the anthem when someone dies. The most lyrical song and soulful song.
2)2 of Americaz Most Wanted- A gangsta track feat. Snoop Dogg a good song 2 lay back to.
3)How Do You Want ItA little soft for 2pac but still has a good beat and still incredibale lyrics.

Top Songs on disc 2
1)Troublesome 96'- The last song he did before he died an unreleased song.
2)I Ain't Mad At Cha- A real good song basically based on forgiveness cuz that is exactly how 2pac is.
3)I Get Around- a crazy ass song its so funny and its so Relaxin to play, should be played at parties.
4)Dear Mama- The best song that 2pac has ever doned and is the best song of the 90's
Every song is good so just buy it a listen to it for yourself.

A Flor de Tierra
A Flor de Tierra
A Flor de Tierra Artist: Chaskinakuy (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information Highly recommend My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing Chaskinakuy when they came through our town recently, and it was during the intermission in which we bought their A Flor De Tierra CD. Like the concert, one gets from the CD an education into the different styles of music of the region, the numerous instruments used, the culture of the people and their history. Sometimes when a group focuses in on one aspect, in this case an academic appreciation of Andean music, another aspect may be sacrificed, such as the soul of the music. That couldn't be further from the case with Chaskinakuy. (Why hasn't Microsoft come up with a Quechuan spellchecker yet!!) The music is so rich with feeling and emotion that I literally got goose bumps from hearing them play live, and those bumps haven't receded an iota after continuous playings of A Flor De Tierra. There are 17 numbers on the CD with a total playing time of roughly 52 minutes. I have so many favorite songs on it that it would be fruitless to try to break them all down in this humble attempt at an Amazonian review. All I can say is: buy the CD and I'm sure you'll be magically transported on a serene musical note like I was to the mountains of Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
Excellent, excellent Andean Music! This CD is by far their best yet! If you have any doubts about good Andean Music, DOUBT NO MORE!! This is worth the buy!
Danielle adds SO MUCH to the group on his Andean violin.
I've seen Chaskinakuy in concert, have talked with them, and have been to one of their workshops. Not only are they accomplished profession Musicians who are dedicated to preserving and educating the Andean culture, but their ATTITUDE is so good: They are all excellent teachers, are gracious, generous, patient, and just very giving people. This is a fine quality to have; one of the finest for professionals.
This CD is exquisitely beautiful. I highly recommend it!!! Most authentic music outside of the Andes I love this album. It is one of the most authentic performances of Andeam music anywhere. Chaskinakuy plays South American music with a wide number of original Andean instruments. I've seen them in concert! They are talented musicians whose music is heartfelt and true to the original rhythms of villages in the mountains of Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. You'll love this album for its beautiful music that will take you to a different world. Highly recommended.

Kings of Hip Hop: The Founders
Kings of Hip Hop: The Founders
Kings of Hip Hop: The Founders Manufacturer: Image Entertainment (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information Hot To Death This is what Hip Hop is supposed to DJ's and MC's getting busy. But Curtain Call presents the perfect opportunity to have another look at the life of Marshall Mathers. Starting out in the vein of the Beastie Boys and Slick Rick, he grafted filthy verses over bubbly nursery rhyme melodies and primitive Casio beats to come up with comical singles like "My Name Is" and "Real Slim Shady." Then angst and reflection set in, resulting in rare moments of vulnerability ("Lose Yourself") and a richer musical experience ("Stan"). One of the new tracks, "When I'm Gone," is a bittersweet goodbye letter, signaling the raw emotion and youthful enthusiasm of his early days have substantially faded. --Aidin Vaziri "Curtain Call" is excellent!
